New Copper, Gold, and Silver Discoveries by Midland and SOQUEM

MONTREAL, Dec. 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Midland Exploration Inc. (“Midland”) (TSX-V: MD), in partnership with SOQUEM Inc. (“SOQUEM”), is pleased to announce the results of the 2025 exploration campaign on the Nachicapau project. This exploration program follows the discovery, between 2022 and 2024, of a major hydrothermal system with high-grade copper, gold and silver, characterized by strong structural control, over several kilometres. These new results are reported under the Strategic Alliance between Midland and SOQUEM (the “Alliance”) in the Labrador Trough in Nunavik, Quebec.

Midland Exploration Inc. and SOQUEM Inc. have announced significant discoveries of copper, gold, and silver showings at their Nachicapau project, located in the province of Quebec. This collaboration has yielded high-grade mineralization, with results indicating grades as high as 13.70% Copper (Cu), 4.38 grams per ton (g/t) Gold (Au), and 65.40 g/t Silver (Ag).

The new showings were uncovered during ongoing exploration efforts in the region, which is known for its rich geological potential. These results are part of a series of exploration projects targeting mineral-rich areas that are under-explored but hold substantial promise. The specific locations of the high-grade mineralization have ignited interest in further exploration, with both companies preparing for follow-up activities to evaluate the extent and potential economic viability of these discoveries.

The mining sector in Quebec is gaining notable attention, driven by advancements in exploration technologies and methodologies, which are unveiling previously hidden resources. With Canada’s favorable mining regulations and infrastructure, the involvement of companies like Midland and SOQUEM is expected to stimulate further investment and exploration in the region.

Contractual agreements between Midland and SOQUEM have been instrumental in driving this exploration project forward. Both parties are utilizing their respective expertise and resources to navigate the complexities of mineral exploration, from geological assessments to drill program implementations. The collaboration aims not only to identify valuable resources but also to minimize environmental impacts through sustainable mining practices.

Midland’s President, President and CEO, has reiterated the importance of these findings, emphasizing the company's commitment to responsible resource development and the potential economic benefits these discoveries could bring to local communities. This project is not just about extracting minerals; it's about creating jobs and supporting the regional economy.

As follow-up drilling and sampling programs are planned, the excitement around the Nachicapau project is likely to keep growing. Positive public and investor sentiments surrounding these discoveries could further boost the stock prices of involved companies, reflecting a renewed interest in mining projects that promise significant yield and sustainability.
