St-Jean-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, May 29, 2024 - St-Jean-de-l’Île-d’Orléans — After being named "Traveler’s Choice 2023," the inn LA maison de l’Île has reached the pinnacle of distinctions awarded by TripAdvisor: it is crowned Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best and awarded the Golden Owl. LA maison de l’Île is the only inn in Quebec to have received this prestigious award.
Tripadvisor Awards
Every year since 2002, Tripadvisor has been rewarding travelers' favorite establishments. Their awards are of two levels: Traveller’s Choice and Best of the Best. This latter category is given to places that have received a significant number of positive reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Thus, out of the eight million prospects listed, less than 1% reach this level.
“Congratulations to LA maison de l’Île d’Orléans for its recognition at the Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Awards for 2024,” said John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor. “Travelers' Choice honors businesses that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence. It means you made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took the time to go online and leave an excellent review about their experience. People rely on the Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice label to help them navigate the myriad of things to see, eat, and do around the world. We hope this recognition continues to bring you business in 2024 and beyond.”
Amazed!
For his part, the owner and chef of LA maison de l’Île d’Orléans is speechless:
“I just turned 70. We are so honored to be part of the select group of travelers’ favorites. I desired it, I hoped for it, but I never thought I would receive this award. I watched admiringly the accommodations qualified as ‘best of the best,’ secretly dreaming of becoming one. These hotels were so beautiful that I thought this unreachable star was not for us. It seems there is more than beauty that counts. Our efforts, pleasant to make moreover, and our vision of gastronomic breakfast are appreciated by our clientele,” says Yves Blanchette.
